Perry Haddock Fine Art, Surrey

An inveterate traveller, Perry loves stopping wherever and whenever he can to sketch and take photos for his studio paintings. If time allows, he'll pull out his canvasses and paints and do a plein-air painting on the spot.

Perry is largely self-taught, but credits a number of artists with inspiring him and encouraging his progress, among them Canadians Robert Genn, Mike Svob, as well as the Group of Seven.

Loose but confident brushwork along with bold colours characterize his work, and subject matter ranges from West Coast rainforests to French villages, all with a style which reveals his sense of fun.

Perry's work is shown in several British Columbia and Alberta galleries: The Birthplace of B.C. Gallery in Fort Langley, the Rendezvous Gallery in Vancouver, the Alicat Gallery in Bragg Creek, AB, and the Avens Gallery in Canmore AB.
