This Outdoor Mosaic was created for a "branch" of a family to celebrate their in-law's life in Canada and his origins - can you guess Scotland?
It is created with glass material - largely my hand-made fusions, set on a Carrera marble substrate.
Built to last, outside, for many generations to come!
The the front side of "805", a hanging address panel is a landscape of the view over Victoria to Mt Baker. The reverse side is also mosaicked - have a look on my website!
Stained glass, Glass Fusions, on a mosaic outdoor substrate.
Another double sided Address Marker for "437" - the reverse side is a landscape.
Glass, Glass fusions, and Cinca tile on a mosaic weatherproof substrate....
This glass on glass mosaic is actually five layers and displays a different look from all angles. This piece was included in the Contemporary Mosaic Art "Bits and Pieces" show in Ashland, Oregon.
Trish Collins offers several workshops as well as private tutoring sessions! Since we specialize in outdoor mosaics, and they are the most challenging, our "Basics" class covers all aspects from initial prep of the substrate to final sealing. Classes cover Mosaic design elements, Managing the 7 threats to outdoor art, Construction methods, Suitable material, & Finishing. Students create their own lasting work of art!
Class size is small, all materials, tools and equipment is included and we have a ton of fun!
Further info is on the "Workshops" page on our website.
