Wilma Richardson began her painting career in 1977. She is mostly self-taught, but she did study with John Millhill of Comox for 3 years. She has attended demonstrations by Ron Parker, Molly Bobeck and Kiff Holland, and taken workshops presented by Robert Genn, Neil Howel and Bruce Cryer/
Wilma paints a variety of subjects, including flowers, animal portraits, land and seascapes and still life, and has dabbled in human portraiture. Her artwork hangs in the homes of people in Canada, the USA, Australia and Germany.
She participated in many FCA Shows, including some in Campbell River, Comox, Qualicum Beach, and Vancouver. She has also shown her work in the Campbell River Community Arts Council Regional Shows and in Art Association Shows in Yuma, Arizona. Wilma also creates stained glass windows.
