Larry Stuart is an accomplished artist working in various media and having been producing art since achieving my degree in Art from the University of Calgary in 1983. I have works in both private collections and corporate collections as Pan Canadian Petroleum ( Encana) and Esso ( Imperial Oil) .
My works include architectural renderings , portraiture and images of the west coast of Canada where I now make my home . I enjoy working in graphite , oils , watercolours and periodically multi - media .
My personal viewpoint is that we miss out on the simplistic beauty of something when we look at the overall picture , but when we zoom in, we see the real beauty , the texture , colour gradations in rocks or the many colours that are viewable when a wave is looked at up close or even the forest floor with its crushed leaves , broken branches and many colours that one can see in the shadows , light patterns and objects in the forest .
Recent paintings subject matter includes my images of the west coast ocean waves , rockscapes with the ocean architectural renderings of sections of buildings in France , Hungary , and Austria .
