British Columbia's Sunshine Coast, surrounded by and part of the coastal rainforest, is blessed during mushroom season with an abundance of weird, wonderful and beautiful fungi, which attract the fascinated interest of many weird, wonderful and beautiful people.
A group of these people decided to form a club so they could share this interest and learn from each other about the world of mushrooms.
And so the Sunshine Coast Society for the Hunting, Recognition and Observation of Mushrooms (SHROOM) was born.
Don't miss our main event:
Second annual
Sunshine Coast Mushroom Fest
October 16 and 17, 2010.
Featuring speakers, cooking demonstrations, local food vendors and mushroom ID tables, this is a day mushroom lovers won't want to miss.
