The home of the Gulf Islands Community Arts Council is in the historic Mahon Hall Building on Salt Spring Island.
The purpose of our association is:
to encourage participation and excellence in the visual and performing arts and crafts
to provide, when possible, financial and advisory assistance to groups and individuals
to circulate information to members about cultural activities and opportunities
to bring to the attention of civic and provincial authorities the cultural needs of the community
to stimulate public interest in the visual and performing arts and crafts
to provide facilities for the use and benefit of performing and visual artists and craftspersons
By providing funding, material and organizational support to a broad range of groups and individuals, the Council fosters a positive environment for visual and performing artists, artisans and writers, and enriches the lives of all Gulf Island residents.
