Hazel Broadley studied drawing and painting at the Victoria College of Art. She is an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artistsand her work is represented at Gabriola Artworks on Gabriola island, British Columbia, where she now lives.Born in Lancashire, England, Hazel chose an art related career as an occupational therapist. In this role she has lived and worked in many countries, co-authored a text book and pioneered methods of assessment and treatment. Her work as a therapist provided a unique opportunity to study human occupation and behaviour. Now, as an artist, many of her paintings reflect her understanding of what it is to be human,- in bold and colourful oils and acrylics
