My work is primarily figurative painting in acrylic. I paint portraits partly because I love rendering human skin and partly to explore the infinite variety of people. I may be drawn to paint any subject that I find beautiful or intriguing.

I see light and lighting as critically important in our human experience. My favourite colour is white because it responds to everything around it. I like the ability of acrylic paint to add glazes and layering.

Recently I've been exploring mixed media, including elements of photography and collage.
