Albert Head Lagoon at Delgada Road in Metchosin is a lovely spot for a quiet family outing. Enjoy a picnic, explore the beach or birdwatch.
It is a protected lagoon and a wildlife sanctuary that attracts local ducks, geese and swans, as well as many varieties of migrating birds.
It features a cobble beach and views of Victoria and the distant Olympic mountains in Washington state.
