Chasm


 
Chasm Provincial Park is located 20 km northeast of Clinton and 15 km south of 70 Mile House off the Cariboo Highway 97.

The 3,067-hectare Chasm Provincial Park is a day-use park providing a great view of the impressive painted chasm, formed by volcanic activity and carved by glacial meltwaters thousands of years ago. Photographers and hikers are drawn by the spectacular landscape, colourful geological formations, steep cliffs and dramatic backdrops. Facilities include a pull out viewing area and a larger parking area with a toilet.

Wildlife in the park includes moose, mule deer, black bear, coyote, small mammals, songbirds and various birds of prey.
