Each spring in Qualicum Beach, Parksville and Nanimo, you can celebrate the wonderful natural diversity in one of the richest ecosystems on earth. A myriad of creatures from microscopic plankton to the 1000kg Northern Sea Lion take part in this 'wonder of the natural world'.
Springtime sees major wildlife concentrations on the beaches and nearby estuaries.
