I ENJOY CREATING CLASSIC VESSELS THAT BRING DIGNITY & BEAUTY TO THE DOMESTIC RITUALS OF DAILY LIVING.

Plate 11 inches: Oak leaf design on forest-green satin glaze

Tableware items are made from a porcelainous clay (mid-fire) and include pieces
such as: casserole, pitcher & tumblers, teapot, cream & sugar,
mugs, serving bowl sets, pie plate, noodle/rice bowl, butter bell,
trays, Ikebana vase and more. All FOOD SAFE glazes.

Mugs: 5.5 inches (14 cm); ocean surf/blue glazes

Below Left: Decorative saggar-fired hollow eggs (maracas); 3 inches (8cm)
Right: RAKU Horsehair vessel, 8 inches; black hair lines are unique each time
These vessels are hand-burnished, have no glaze, and thus are
NOT water-tight or foodsafe.

(below): Raku glazed vessel with woven pine-needles at the rim.

(below): a section of my pottery display at a recent show.

Nancy is a founding member of the SOUTH VANCOUVER ISLAND POTTERS GUILD (110 members), and also finds great joy participating in a hands-on group twice monthly with GARDEN CITY POTTERS. Marketing work at local art shows and annually in a nearby gallery.

CARING FOR YOUR POTTERY:
Functional items (eg. mugs, bowls) are safe in the dishwasher. As with all pottery, please avoid thermal shock (eg. don't put a cold casserole from the fridge into a pre-heated oven).
