The small, friendly community of Likely was one of the small gold rush settlements in the Cariboo Region. Likely was originally known as “Quesnel Dam" before it was renamed in honour of John A. Likely. Likely is about 10 km south of Williams Lake and it is on the Quesnel Lake, the second deepest fjord lake in the world.
