From a few hours to a few days, taking a short course or artist’s workshop can alter your life. BC has called out to and nurtured the hearts of countless artists. Inspired by the land and sea, or perhaps some indefinable quality, every corner of the province holds artists’ studios. Usually working in quiet solitude, artists also share their spaces, and sometimes their secrets. Many people have come away from an afternoon workshop emboldened and inspired, and embark on new artistic pursuits or even new ways of life.
Join a yoga class, check out the many programs of recreation centres in each community, participate in a dance class or learn about the benefits of meditation and positive thinking. Taking workshops, short courses or tutoring is one of the best things you can do for your mind, your health and your community.
